October masterclass is a meeting with fi lm director Małgorzata Frymus, whose fi lms will be used to pass the knowledge about fi lm and new media production as tools in the promotion of ecological behaviours. Th e fi lms show the forestation in  Africa (Senegal) and Europe (Italy, Portugal). Masterclass considers film to be a tool which can be used to talk about important things. Nobody needs convincing when it comes to how important forests are in the areas of Africa which are turning into deserts or on the rocky slopes in Portugal but seeing it in a film makes it possible to really understand the problem. Difficult conditions (40 degree Celsius heat, cold and rain) make it hard to work on the set but they also give the picture unique qualities. Th e authors have a many-years experience in documentary filmmaking connected with environment protection. Masterclass at DK Krzemień conducted in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
