This years’ “Film PhiloSeFFy” consists of 4 productions: fresh premieres as well as the latest pictures, which have already echoed loudly all around the world. Each story is characterized by high artistic value and great acting. The first picture is a French production – a suspenseful plot about a love triangle directed by Nicole Garcia, the second is a Polish documentary, also telling the love story of the three. The third film proposal is a hypnotic story, full of black humor, about the backstage of a certain advertisement, the implementation of which got out of hand. Finally, the last picture is Wojciech Smarzowski’s “Wesele” ‘bis’, which mirrors the Polish mentality. Will it be as good as his “Wesele” (2004)? Let’s find out about it at the October edition of the “Film PhiloSeFFy’21.

- Lux Æterna50'
“Lux Æterna” is a hypnotic, devilish and full of black humor story about the backstage of a certain advertising film, the implementation of which got out of hand. Two actresses, Béatrice Dalle and Charlotte Gainsbourg, are on a film set telling stories about witches – but that’s not all. “Lux Æterna” is also an essay on cinema, the love of film, and on-set hysterics.

- Caspar Noé
Born in Buenos Aires. He studied philosophy at the Sorbonne and directing at École Louis-Lumière. He began with short films noticed at international festivals, incl. “Carne” (1991), which he continued in his full-length debut, “I Stand Alone” (1998). The works of Gaspar Noé caused a shock from the very beginning, showing the unknown face of France - its dark corners, where violence was born. The next film, “Irreversible” (2002), won the title of one of the most controversial films in the history of cinema. The director, focused on the topics of rejection, violence and sexuality, uses long shots and chiaroscuro, uses hand-shot photos, and in the soundtrack – persistent low noise. A visionary of contemporary cinema, experimenting with fluid editing and psychedelia, he consistently exceeds the social taboos.
