Javier Barbero

Javier Barbero born 1980 in Spain, graduated in Film Making from the Complutense University of Madrid. He finished his training as a filmmaker at the Film School of San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba). In the city of Havana, Javier Barbero carried out his first project “Interior/Exterior”. He produced and shot his second documentary “The Third World”, an intimate portrait of three natives who fight against the disappearance of their culture, in a village in northern Argentina. Both films ran successfully at several international festivals . He founded the film battle group Cabeza Borradora (Eraser head), which publishes a magazine that became a critical reference on experimental and independent film in Spain. He works as a director and participates as editor in several projects.
